TORONTO, April 5, 2021 - S&P Dow Jones Indices announces the following changes to the S&P/TSX Composite Index:
The shareholders of ARC Resources Ltd. (TSX:ARX) and Seven Generations Energy Ltd. (TSX:VII) have agreed to the terms of a Plan of Arrangement resulting in the combination of the two companies. Each share of Seven Generations Energy Ltd. will be exchanged for 1.108 shares of ARC Resources Ltd. Seven Generations Energy Ltd. will be removed from the S&P/TSX Composite Index prior to the open of trading on April 8, 2021. The shares outstanding of ARC Resources Ltd. will be increased at the same time to reflect the issuance of shares.
