Sherritt Announces Increase in Quarterly Dividend

TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire - Feb. 26, 2013) - Sherritt International Corporation ("the Corporation") (TSX:S) announced today that its Board of Directors has approved a quarterly dividend, with respect to the first quarter of 2013, of $0.043 per common share, payable April 12, 2013 to shareholders of record as of the close of business on March 29, 2013. This regular dividend represents a 13% increase to the dividend of $0.038 per share paid by the Corporation for the fourth quarter of 2012 and is an "eligible dividend" as defined in the Income Tax Act (Canada).
