Penn Virginia Corporation to Participate in Upcoming Investor Conferences

Penn Virginia Corporation (NYSE: PVA) announced today that it will
participate in two upcoming investor conferences.

PVA will participate in the Energize 2012 Conference, hosted by
Pritchard Capital Partners, in San Francisco on Wednesday, January 4,
2012. PVA′s presentation is scheduled for 5:05 ?p.m. Eastern time (2:05
p.m. Pacific time). Steven A. Hartman, Senior Vice President and Chief
Financial Officer, will present an overview of PVA′s operations,
including a discussion of strategy and recent activities.

In addition, PVA will participate in the 9^th Annual
Unconventional Resource Conference, hosted by BMO Capital Markets, in
New York on Tuesday, January 10, 2012. PVA′s presentation session is
scheduled for 3:45 p.m. Eastern time. H. Baird Whitehead, President and
Chief Executive Officer, will discuss PVA′s operations, strategy and
recent activities.
