LONDON, Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Noble Corp. (NYSE: NE) confirmed today that the Noble Paul Wolff, a dynamically positioned semisubmersible rig operating off the coast of Brazil, experienced a ballast control incident on Friday, February 28 at approximately 01:00 a.m. (BRT) local time. The crew took prompt corrective action, including safely securing the well, and measures are currently underway to resolve the matter. As a precaution, 77 non-essential personnel were evacuated from the rig without injuries, and no pollution has been reported. Noble continues to work with its customer and appropriate authorities in connection with this matter.
